dates and registration information.
Presented in a series of focused, fully interactive CEC workshops
with opportunities for teaching practice
Offered by Lead Trainers, Gaylene and Stacey
The initial, concentrated list of poses, which meet the BCRPA Scope of Practice for Yoga Fitness Instructors, creates a strong foundation from which to teach a balanced, well designed beginner yoga class.
With a solid understanding of pose work, opportunities expand with additional training, to add variety and interest. Each workshop in the series will build upon prior pose awareness and will include modifications to add interest or adapt intensity, compound poses, specialized balance poses, bound poses, and modified inversions (that stay within GYS guiding principles about safety and alignment, and that are within Scope of Practice requirements).
Open to all yoga teachers*
*Prerequisite: Yoga Fitness Instructor module
and/or equivalent yoga teaching experience
For GYS-RYT 200 pre-registered students
these workshops count towards over 65 core curriculum hours.
