Offered as a combination live on-line & self study course with in-studio time available based on social distancing guidelines. We believe this to be an important aspect of the training experience and we will decide how to proceed as a group decision ensuring everyone's comfortable. Program also includes our printed training manual.
For the Yoga Fitness Leader certificate this module has mandatory prerequisites: Fitness Theory (definitely beneficial) and First Aid/CPR (everyone should have). It is also available as our "INTRO TO YOGA" Workshop, however, it would not be eligible for the Yoga Fitness Leader certificate. Ask us for details.
The Yoga Fitness 35-hr module provides general knowledge of a focused list of poses within the scope of practice outlined for yoga by the NFLA. It also includes teaching techniques and how to successfully and safely sequence classes with a fitness approach. You will gain knowledge of alignment, options and modifications and props to create a multi-level inclusive class experience.
To register a specialty module an Instructor Competency Evaluation (ICE) is required. This may be booked with either GYS faculty members or another qualified Yoga-SFL/TLF.
