Working with special populations requires a unique approach to training and an understanding of Scope of Practice as defined by yoga associations/insurers/employers. Develop an awareness on how to recognize and adapt to those attending yoga classes. Appreciate the value of the PAR-Q as a screening tool. Special populations include: older adults/seniors and others who may have specific
requirements for a successful yoga class experience. Note: yoga with children is a separate specialized workshop.
Prerequisites:
Yoga Fitness Instructor module or equivalent yoga teacher training/experience.
Teaching experience recommended.
